The bed was comfortable, the room was not only well-equipped, but also exquisite. That hotel was in a comfortable location, right next to the imperial palace.

Truly enjoyed clean and impressive rooms.
The location was marvellous and stunning, for example, Government of Kyoto City was just a pleasant stroll away from the hotel. It was also close to the gift shop and Kyoto imperial palace.

Located in a charming area with many dining options to choose from and just a short walk to the nearest public transportation. The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing free maps and useful information about the surrounding attractions. The rooms are clean and cozy, with comfortable tatami floors and fresh bedding.
The bedding and mat in the room could have been more comfortable, as some previous guests had mentioned.

I liked the use of incense in the hotel lobby, its interesting interior and decoration, the arrangements in our room, and the great bath! Also enjoyed traditional music used as background in the lobby.
I didn't like the absence of laundry arrangements. Few information available in English. Better restaurant service (more visible menu choices, clearer info on meals) would be helpful.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to many historical sites and the nearest subway station. It was also conveniently close to a shopping street, which made exploring the city very easy. The hotel staff provided exceptional service and were always available to assist with any questions or requests. The room was well-equipped with modern amenities and had a comfortable sitting area. The housekeeping service was top-notch, ensuring that the room was clean and tidy throughout my stay. I also appreciated the free toiletries and towels provided.
I would highly recommend this hotel to families.

I was not expecting it, but we were impressed by the spacious room. It also was very clean. The front desk staff speak decent english. They know what their guests want/need and they go out of their way to please their guests. We had a problem with the lock of the bike we rented from them, and in a few minutes, 5 to 6 staff gathered around to help fix the problem. Every lady staff we encountered were very swift to take our luggages from us for them to carry/roll it out themselves.
The elevators are old, but I feel that it adds to the feeling of being in a ryokan, given that they are traditional therefore a bit old. That the hotel did not have the japanese garden or ponds that will give a ryokan a more japanese feel.

very friendly staff who provided us with a pot of new hot water every day for tea and served with sweets. Traditional accomodation yet the room was big enough for 4 adults and all our luggage. The room was always warm and clean. Good value for money
